Tis the season! Shorter days means longer nights. Everyone knows it is hard to see people riding bikes or even walking at night. As part of our street safety initiative Get Women Cycling is partnering with Brooklyn Stitchery to give you a fun, do-it-yourself, option to illumination!
Join us for a 2 hour workshop with sewing instructor Catherine at her boutique studio in Bay Ridge Brooklyn! Learn sewing machine basics and common stitches by adding 3M reflective material to the clothes of your choice!
We love brand name commuter clothes, but individual items can be pricey and often are out of stock or do not fit our shapes.
Bring in your favorite tops and/or bottoms and we will supply the equipment, material, and instruction for your reflective accents! "Be Seen" and keep your NEWLY reflective garb for yourself or give it to a loved one.
This is a great handcrafted gift for oh-so-energetic kids, skateboarders, messengers, elderly, oh heck anyone who is outside at night!
